dear god am i glad my boyfriend isnt full of shit... i enjoy actually knowing what i hear is true. not to mention he is amazing in every way! thank god for me seeing that there is so many things better out there! because without that i wouldnt had found Jeffrey Paul Llyod!

Why is that when we think of communication, we think of ourselves talking? We seem to think what we have to say is more important than what others have to tell us. But most of the time the best thing we can do with our lips is keep them sealed. God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth because he wanted us to listen twice as much a we speak. Then why is it so hard to do that, if it's what god wanted us to do? Why arent we trained to listen like we should? But since we arent trained we must teach ourselves with the guidance of god.

Authentic communication involves asking and listening. If we want to truly know and understand we have to honestly care what they think and feel. We shouldn't arrogantly assume that we already know.

Do you actualy listen or are you anxiously waiting for the next time you can start talking? How often do you cut someone off or finish there sentences? When you ask someone a question sincerly listen and absorb the answer. Don't only listen to the words but the way they are used and how they are spoken. If you ask them something, care about there opinions and ideas not only your own. The bible tells us  that a fool "delights in airing his own opinions" (Proverbs 18:2) so dont be a fool, listen twice as much as you talk.

LISTEN, OR YOUR TONGUE WILL KEEP YOU DEAF. (Life Lines - A Warning)

I guess this is what happens when I read. I should read more often.
